ROXBURY, N.J. (CBSNewYork) – It’s been two years since Chafic “Steve” Ezzeddine was found murdered in his Morris County, N.J. restaurant.
Now police want your help identifying two people who are persons of interest in the case.
Ezzeddine was found inside the Kenvil Diner. Police have not disclosed how he was killed.
They believe he stayed late to clean up after closing the diner as usual on a Saturday afternoon in 2011 when he was murdered.
In a press release, authorities characterized Ezzeddine as a “simple, hard working, family man” who struggled and eventually was able to bring his wife from Lebanon to New Jersey, where they raised a family.
The person of interest is described by police as “a black male, wearing light colored shorts, a dark short sleeved short, and having a Caribbean accent. He was seen in the immediate area of the Kenvil Diner around the time of the murder. He may be known to travel in a dark green Toyota Camry, model year 1994-1996.”
Another person who has since been identified was seen with the man, police said.
There’s a $25,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case.
